Links to Sofiane Boufal from the French and English press suggest Claude Puel is looking for a new winger at his new club, and one of the options, other than the Moroccan, seems to be Dennis Praet.
We’ve covered interest from Southampton in the past, with the player apparently preferring a move to Sevilla above all, yet Monchi, the Spanish club’s director of football, was keen to distance himself from any imminent arrival for the young Belgian.
Relayed by Estadio Deportivo, he said: “He’s on the list, but there are more options.”
This silence from Sevilla has caused Praet to explore other options, and a source close to the player confirmed to Estadio Deportivo two of the clubs who are following the winger with interest: Southampton and AC Milan.
They said: “Both are getting closer. The problem is with Anderlecht. They are refusing to lower their demands.”
The Belgian club are reportedly asking for €10m for their player, who recently refused to extend his contract beyond 2017.
Estadio claim the offers received for Praet have, so far, been way below that.
