Portuguese newspaper O Jogo brings some interesting news today for Everton fans regarding their chase for Yacine Brahimi.
According to the outlet, the winger has recently rejected offers from Fenerbahce and Betis, while the one from the Toffees continues to be on the table.
The problem is that he’s not ready to sign for Everton just yet, because, despite his wish to move to the Premier League, he is planning on making the Goodison Park side wait a little bit longer.
The reason for this is his belief he can still get an offer from a bigger club, with the Africa Cup of Nations, to be played next month, hopefully helping him achieve that.
Yacine Brahimi is expected to leave Porto for free this summer, as he runs out of contract in June.
The winger scored 13 goals and picked up nine assists this season, being a regular starter for the Dragons, who are regretting his departure.
Since Betis and Fenerbahce had been pointed out as Everton’s main competitors in the race for him, the Toffees appear to comfortably be in the lead in this race.
Unless he gets a more attractive offer after the AFCON, of course.
