Last month, claims from Spain discussed Real Madrid as an option for AFC Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen.
The centre-back made 29 appearances since joining Bournemouth from Juventus last summer. His performances have helped him make debut for Spain in March and has also attracted interest from clubs in England and across Europe.
On March 25th, AS stated the Bournemouth player would prefer to join Real Madrid over other clubs. Los Blancos are hoping his preference can help them beat competition in the summer window.
The defender turns 20 years of age today and Marca say there are ‘some unknowns’ with regards to his future. It’s pointed out Real Madrid like him a lot and continue to follow him closely.
Marca claim both he and his entourage are clear; that he wants to return to Spain ‘soon’. They add the Netherlands-born Spain international could move to La Liga next season, but it isn’t certain.
Huijsen’s contract with the Cherries lasts until 2030 and includes a £50m clause. It makes him expensive, while Real Madrid could afford to activate his clause.
Last week, he stated his friends have ask him to join Real Madrid and discussed the possibility of moving there.
La Roja are also keeping an eye on the Bournemouth player’s development as they feel he could be a starter for the national team for the next decade.
Over at La Grada, they discuss Real Madrid’s plan to sign the youngster after this season and make it clear it’s their own information.
They point out his clause and add that Real Madrid aren’t willing to pay more than €40m. In other words, the Spanish giants are seeking a discount from Bournemouth, and it’s not clear whether the Premier League club will accept it.
