Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot is set to return to the club this summer so Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can make a decision on his future at the club.

Dalot is currently on loan at Serie A side AC Milan and has been a regular for the side, impressing for the most part, particularly in the Europa League.

That has naturally brought about questions regarding his future, with it unknown if he will be staying at Manchester United in the long-term given they already have Aaron Wan Bissaka and are said to be targeting another right-back this summer.

Calciomercato pick up on that today and state that the Portuguese defender ‘will return’ to Old Trafford at the end of the season.

That is because the club are planning for him to do the ‘whole summer training camp’ with the current squad, at which point Solskjaer ‘will decide whether to keep‘ him or send him back out on loan.

This is a plan that Milan are more than aware of, and so they are scouring the market for alternative options at right-back, with Torino youngster Wilfred Singo at the top of the list.

Any move for him will depend on Manchester United’s stance on Dalot, though, with him set to return in the summer for a thorough assessment.
