Feyenoord manager Arne Slot has been warned he faces a tough situation at Liverpool post Jurgen Klopp, because the club will be seeing a complete clear out of staff.
That’s according to Ryan Babel, who – for reasons unknown – says as many as 40 people are set to leave Liverpool when Klopp departs in the summer.
Slot is now the leading candidate to replace Klopp after Liverpool made their move for him on Wednesday morning by submitting an official bid to Feyenoord.
A deal has not been reached with the Dutch club as yet but is expected to arrive before too long, particularly with Slot seemingly determined to make the move and already working on contract details with Liverpool.
The potential move to Anfield has been seen as something of a poisoned chalice for any manager arriving post Klopp given the glorious times the Reds have enjoyed under the German manager over the last decade.
Big changes are expected at the club when he departs and Babel has warned the potential new Liverpool manager about that, insisting he’s heard that as many as 40 people could be set to depart behind the scenes too.
“Apart from Klopp, I understand that at least 40 more people within the club are leaving,” Socer News report him saying.
“From kitchen people to staff and analysts. A trainer who comes has to replace that, and that doesn’t seem easy to me.”
Ryan may well be correct but it all sounds a little far fetched.
