Deservedly called up to the France squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers, Everton’s Lucas Digne could be set to miss out on Friday evening’s game against Moldova.
According to RMC Sport, the left-back picked up a hamstring injury late on Thursday evening in training, and never finished the session.
Feeling some pain in his left leg during the last tactical set up, the Everton defender was quickly looked at by the France national team’s physio, and news has yet to filter whether or not he will miss on tonight’s game.
Following some good performances for the Toffees, the French left-back was expected to start the game in Moldova, but that duty could end up being passed down to his backup in the squad: Layvin Kurzawa.
This comes as yet another blow at the position for Didier Deschamps, who was unable to call-up Lucas Hernandez, Benjamin Mendy or Ferland Mendy, all injured or on the verge of returning from a previous lay-off.
