The situation is becoming complicated for Stuttgart midfielder Alexandru Maxim, according to reports in Romania. The Leeds United target was again overlooked by Hannes Wolf at the weekend, and a move in the summer is looking very likely for the player.
Gsp.ro have reported on Maxim not figuring last night in Stuttgart’s 2-0 victory over Fortuna Dusseldorf. This was the second game in the row which Maxim has been an unused substitute for his club, and it seems the Romanian international isn’t in the long terms plan of Stuttgart coach Wolf.
Maxim’s last involvement in a competitive game came in December in Stuttgart’s win over Würzburger Kickers, and it’s looking increasingly likely the attacking midfielder will need to find a club in the next window.
Last month Leeds United held initial talks with his agent to sign Maxim. These talks with Leeds United were confirmed by the player’s agent, but at the time he said he only expected his client to move in the summer, and to club that suited Maxim.
Stuttgart boss Wolf has also given Leeds United encouragement by confirming the German side would listen to offers for Maxim because he has several players that can play in his position.
