Among the millions of children who dream of playing in the Premier League one day, there will be many different reasons why. For a lot, being able to look after their family financially and buy big treats for those they love is heavily in their thoughts.
Tottenham Hotspur’s Lucas Bergvall has managed to make it to the top and that’s given him the finances to live out that dream of helping family.
The 19-year-old’s big brother is 20-year-old Theo Bergvall, who is trying to build a career at Djurgården. Obviously he’s not in the same financial ballpark, and when he turned 20 in September he received a rather special birthday present from the Spurs man.
Lucas Bergvall bought his brother a Mercedes Benz EQC 400 SUV, and whilst the Tottenham player tried to keep it all a surprise, he wasn’t really the best at doing so.
Speaking to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, The Bergvall said: “It was a 20th birthday present that he was really excited about. It was really nice and I was a little shocked.
“However, my brother has a pretty bad poker face, so I realised after a while that something was up, he says. They had been planning that for quite a while, him and dad. It was sitting in the driveway with a bow on the hood. I’m really happy.”
Theo Bergvall is a right-back and is steadily breaking through with his own career.
