All of Europe’s top clubs would like to sign players from Tottenham Hotspur, but the difficulty of doing so means there’s not often real efforts made.

Therefore, when one or more could be available on a free transfer at some point in the future, clubs are obliged to take some interest.

Chief among them is Juventus, who can smell a free transfer appearing right around Europe.

The Turin club have had so much success from the route that it’s now very much part of their transfer planning. Their local sport newspaper Tuttosport get ever so excited about the prospects.

This week they’ve got a big feature on the possible freebies, and Tottenham’s Mousa Dembele, along with PSG’s Adrien Rabiot, is the star of the show.

It’s stated that signing the Belgian midfielder would be ‘intriguing’ for Juventus, and he doesn’t need Spurs’ ‘permission’ to negotiate with clubs from January onwards and agree a free transfer for the following summer.

Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen get a name check, although Tuttosport don’t mention that Tottenham have options to extend both their contracts by a further season.
