Everton are said to be closing in on a deal to sign Brighton & Hove Albion’s Neal Maupay.
Earlier on Friday, we carried a report from Gianluca Di Marzio, who explained the striker is ‘undergoing a medical’ with the Merseyside club.
He had also stated the Seagulls player will sign a three-year deal with Everton, with an option to extend it by a further year.
The 26-year-old’s deal at The Amex runs until 2023 and the figures that Brighton will receive from this deal weren’t mentioned. Le10 Sport now shed some light on this.
It’s said the Toffees will pay Graham Potter’s side a fixed fee of £12m and an additional £4m in bonuses. This would take the overall cost of the operation to £16m. Le10 also add the Frenchman will sign a four-year deal at Goodison Park.
Maupay arrived in England when Brentford signed him from Saint-Étienne in 2017. After his time at the Bees and with Brighton, he is taking ‘great step with Everton’.
Frank Lampard’s side face Brentford and it remains to be seen whether the ‘nearly €19m’ deal will be completed soon, so that the frontman can be eligible to face his former club for his Everton debut.
