This summer, Porto are losing striker Moussa Marega, and are considering Rangers star Alfredo Morelos as his replacement.

The 30-year-old has decided to walk away from the club at the end of his contract, and after scoring 72 goals for the Dragons, he’ll surely be missed.

That means the Portuguese giants must look for another centre-forward in this transfer window, and newspaper A Bola today features the list of potential targets they have.

One of them is Morelos, with Steven Gerrard’s man said to be an ‘old dream’ of Porto manager Sérgio Conceição.

The newspaper calls the Rangers player ‘a fine striker with great finishing skills’, and points out that he’s been linked to big clubs from the Premier League, which would actually be his ‘ambition’.

There’s also another factor which would make the signing difficult for Porto, and that’s Morelos’ price. I

t’s claimed that the Rangers player would cost ‘at least’ €20m, and we all know that Portuguese clubs aren’t used to spending that much on transfers.

Besides Morelos, Porto could also go after Portimonense’s Beto and Wolves’ Rafa Mir. It seems the Dragons are still deciding who their real targets will be, although it does look unlikely that they could afford the Rangers star.
