VfL Bochum want to bring in a new defender, and they’ve turned their attention to Arsenal to find the right man for the job.
That’s according to Sky Germany, who state the German side are targeting Jordi Osei-Tutu, and the ‘signing is imminent’.
Having already played for them during the 2019-20 season, the Arsenal defender will be joining a familiar environment, one willing to welcome him and play him.
In fact, he is ‘supposed to sign a contract until 2025’, showing that VfL Bochum have a long-term plan for him going forward.
Now 23 years of age, Osei-Tutu joined Arsenal from Reading’s youth system back in 2015, but has never featured for the Gunners’ first-team to date.
Since then, he has been loaned to VfL Bochum, Cardiff, Nottingham Forest and Rotherham, having played the most for the German in a season that saw him feature 22 times, score five goals and assist another three while they were in the 2.Bundesliga.
