Matteo Darmian to Juventus is now so close to actually happening that Tuttosport has two stories on it in their Monday newspaper.
The first, which we covered earlier, explained the deal was near to being done, with the chances again put at 90%.
Somehow, the second article sounds even more confident. The Turin newspaper explain Jose Mourinho and Darmain have never really been right together, and the Italian is edging towards the exit.
Manchester United have been holding talks with Juventus, and the player’s agents are also involved in negotiations.
Given all of that, it’s claimed ‘signatures can come soon’, and that would allow both clubs to get on with other business, and Darmian to get on with having a nice summer holiday.
Juventus have been partly attracted by Darmian’s ability to play in different systems, and a transfer fee is estimated at around €15m.
The Serie A champions are looking to add some more Italian to their squad this summer, and Darmian is expected to join alongside Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin.
