Arsenal may have to worry about their pursuit of West Ham star Declan Rice.

According to reports from Germany, Bayern Munich are engaged in serious talks to take the midfielder to Germany.

Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg writes that Thomas Tuchel spoke to Rice a few days ago. It’s reported that the Bundesliga side’s manager had a ‘good talk’ with the player as ‘both appreciate each other’.

That’s where the bad news for Arsenal comes in, because Plettenberg says Rice is ‘open’ to joining the coach at Bayern Munich, who now want to ‘intensify their efforts’ for the summer signing.

Still, Plettenberg doesn’t rule the Gunners out, and actually makes it sound like they still lead the race.

The journalist writes that Bayern Munich must hurry up because ‘time is running out’ and Rice ‘could sign for Arsenal’ before the Germans have the chance to close the deal.

For now, there’s no information on whether the Bundesliga giants would outbid Arsenal in the race for West Ham player. It’s been previously reported by the local media that the Gunners had already placed a €80m offer for the signing.
