Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has spoken to the Brazilian media this week, in an interview published on Esporte Interativo’s Youtube channel.

The midfielder spent over a month in Portugal during quarantine, but is now back in England, where he follows the club’s training schedule at home.

Silva has talked about how much he misses his friends from Manchester City, especially the Brazilians, even though they have a Whatsapp group only for Portuguese speakers at the club.

“The most important thing is people’s health. Governments have the ability to decide what is best for people. I miss football, but we’ll take orders. Whatever is better, we will do it.”

Speaking of the great couple of seasons that his teammates have been having, Silva said it’s unfair that none of them have been considered for the big individual awards.

“There are teams that have more strength in social media and everything, I recently talked about De Bruyne, David Silva and Agüero not going to the Ballon d’Or fight. Collective awards are more important, but individual awards are important and they should’ve been recognised.”

Esporte Interativo asked Silva to make a five-a-side team from those he’s played with, and there’s only one Manchester City star picked.

“Ederson. Cristiano and Mbappe up front. Ricardo Carvalho on defence. I stay as the manager, can I? I’ll choose one more for the middle, I’ll choose Fabinho. The team is good, right?”

To end the chat, Esporte Interativo also mentioned a few Manchester City players and asked Bernardo Silva to describe them in one word. He ended up adding a few lines from most.

Sergio Aguero: “Goal.”

Gabriel Jesus: “Joy. He arrives in a good mood every day at the training centre. Always cheerful, singing and dancing. Always in a good mood.”

Kevin De Bruyne: “Vision. He sees passes that other players don’t see.”

Ederson: “Calm. The coldness and calm is impressive.”

Fernandinho: “Grit. Competitiveness, the grit he has on the field is impressive.”
