Despite playing major roles in Philippe Clement’s Rangers side last season both John Lundstram and Borna Barisic left Ibrox during the summer window.
Lundstam joined Trazbonspor on a free transfer after his Rangers contract expired and he was closely followed by Barisic, who also joined the Super Lig side as a free agent.
However, things haven’t gone to plan for the two players, during a poor start to the season for Trabzonspor.
Their failure to bring in a goalscoring centre forward has added to their woes in front of goal, but it’s the former Rangers players who have been highlighted by the Turkish media.
Barisic has been singled out by Haber Anlik following his performances so far this season, which has resulted in him being an unused substitute in the last three Super Lig games.
They say the Croatian has been ‘ineffective’ when he has played and has disappointed since his move from Rangers.
His former Ibrox teammate Lundstam has also come in for criticism for his start with his new club, but has been getting more playing time than Barisic.
However, the Turkish media outlet say both players have ‘fallen far short of expectations’ after the hype when they arrived during the summer window.
Trabzonspor are currently 10th in the league, 13 points behind leaders Galatasaray.
