With Tottenham now out of the Champions League race, there could be a bit of an exodus this summer in London, starting with Harry Kane.
That’s according to Cadena SER in Spain, who claim the England international ‘will not continue’ at the club after the current season.
In fact, Kane has ‘told the team’, meaning Tottenham, that ‘if a good offer arrives, he will be allowed to leave’, which the club are not against.
It’s said Spurs are ‘receptive to selling him this year’ because they know that with no renewal in sight, they could lose their star for free next year.
Not only that, but the footballer has also ‘been offered to Real Madrid’, with the La Liga giants said to be ‘considering the option’.
While Manchester United and Bayern Munich are allegedly also keen, Tottenham would ‘like him to play outside the Premier League’ because they don’t want him scoring against them.
An intermediary is said to have ‘asked Real Madrid if they are interested’, to which the club have yet to reply, but Cadena SER state he is an ‘option that is current being studied’.
They are said to be weighing the ‘pros and cons’, with the former being that he is a top class striker and the expected arrival of Jude Bellingham could make any transition for Kane a lot easier.
That being said, they know he would be costly at around €80-100m, and they would have to try and get him to rotate with Karim Benzema, which would be no mean feat, since both will want to be playing all the time.
Something to keep an eye on, but this is a big claim from Cadena SER who aren’t normally ones to throw this kind of story around just for fun.
