Spanish side Malaga are reportedly interested in signing Shinji Okazaki this summer, who available for free after leaving Leicester City.
Marca’s website today brings a story saying the club are looking to sign Japanese players this summer.
Malaga are currently playing in the second division, but this wouldn’t be a problem for Okazaki, at least according to Marca.
They say that after playing in Poland, Germany and England, the 33-year-old would like the challenge of joining Spanish football, even if it’s with a La Liga 2 club.
It’s claimed that Okazaki already has an ‘agreement’ to join Malaga, and now the last word belongs to club owner Abdullah Al Ahmed Al Thani. However, the Spanish side still need to activate their ‘departures operation’, and let some players go before signing new ones.
Okazaki has just become a free agent after having his with Leicester expired. It’s obvious he’s looking for a new club to play for, but we’re pretty sure he could get something better than a place in the Spanish second division.
