Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Kieran Lee has been named in the EFL Team of the Week after his performance at the weekend. The 28-year-old was making his 150th league appearance for the Championship side against rivals Nottingham Forest.

EFL.com have today released their best eleven from all three EFL divisions, and Lee has made the cut from this weekend’s round of matches.

Lee was on hand to score two goals on his milestone appearance for Sheffield Wednesday, and was key in his side beating Nottingham Forest 2-1. Lee popped up in injury time to score the winner for the South Yorkshire club after also leveling the score in the second half.

Sheffield Wednesday’s victory on Saturday resulted in the club rising to 11th in the Championship, a point ahead of Leeds United. The Owls are also just two points off the play-off spots after nine games of the season after recording four wins so far in this campaign. Sheffield Wednesday next face struggling Blackburn Rover tomorrow night.
