According to a report in the Portuguese media, Sheffield Wednesday sent a scout to last night’s game between Estoril and Aves.

The Championship side have made numerous trips to Portugal this season, and Estoril is one club that’s been on their agenda.

Since Carlos Carvalhal’s arrival at Sheffield Wednesday the English side have stepped up their presence in Portugal, and they’ve scouted Estoril previously this season.

Only last month the Owls sent an official to the league clash between Estoril and Rio Ave, and it seems they could have an eye on a player from the Portuguese side, ahead of next month’s transfer window.

A Bola have confirmed Sheffield Wednesday were on the scouting list for yesterday’s game, and they were joined by Premier League giants Manchester United.

Estoril ran out 3-2 winners over Aves, with Kleber scoring the winner.

There have been no reports via A Bola who Sheffield Wednesday were watching, but it’s likely they will again be seen at Estoril games this season.
