Sheffield Wednesday forward Atdhe Nuhiu has suggested to the Kosovan media there’s still a chance he could leave the club this summer. The Kosovo international joined Sheffield Wednesday from Rapid Vienna in 2013.
Kosovan website Koha have reported on comments Nuhiu made when asked about his future with the Championship side.
The 27-year-old said he’s currently happy at Sheffield Wednesday, so the thought of leaving hasn’t come into his thoughts. However, with the summer transfer approaching Nuhiu realises things can change, so a move is a possibility.
“I’m not even thinking about leaving Sheffield Wednesday, I’m happy there, but in football you never know,” said Nuhiu. (translation Kosovan Football)
With just 12 months left on his contract Nuhiu and Sheffield Wednesday may have a decision to make this summer. The club could be under pressure to sell the player due to his contract running down, and Nuhiu may be looking for a team which can give him more playing time.
Nuhiu made just two starts in the league last season, and subsequently he could look to move on during the next window.
