According to Yahoo Sport! France journalist Manu Lonjon, Stoke City player Badou Ndiaye could be on his way to Sheffield United.

The Senegalese player has recently returned to Stoke City after his loan spell at Galatasaray came to an end last season but he previously stated he doesn’t want to stay with the Potters.

It’s reported the 28-year-old midfielder is now close to joining Premier League new boys Sheffield United as Chris Wilder’s side are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the transfer deadline.

Previous reports from the Turkish press have linked the player with a move to Everton, but it seems the Blades will be Ndiaye’s next destination.

Lonjon hasn’t given any financial details of the transfer but he suggests it’s being worked on ahead of the deadline.

Ndiaye spent last season on loan at Turkish club Galatasaray, where he won the league and domestic cup whilst making 33 appearances.

His Stoke City contract will expire at the end of June 2022.
