Sheffield United have ‘inquired’ about Club Brugge forward Emmanuel Dennis, who the Belgian side are now keen to move on.

23-year-old Dennis has established himself as a star with Brugge since arriving from Zorya Lugansk in 2017, with 29 goals and 13 assists to his name in 116 appearances so far.

However, he has found himself increasingly out of the picture this season, with him managing just 90 minutes once all season.

Indeed, Walfoot report that his start to the season has been ‘catastrophic’, with him ‘hardly ever decisive’ with his good performances short in number.

He has disappointed in both the league and the Champions League, and internally at the club, they have criticised him for being on the ‘fringe of the group’ , and also never taking part in defensive duties.

In short, nothing is going well for him, and Brugge are now more than happy to sanction a sale in the near future and have lowered their transfer demands to just €8m.

That has apparently caught the attention of Sheffield United, who have contact about a possible move, having struggled up front this season.

They were linked in the summer, with a report in August stating that they had ‘entered the dance’ for his signature, with his asking price oscillating between €15m and €20m.

Thus, a drop to €8m is a significant drop for suitors such as Sheffield United, and Walfoot say there is now a ‘strong risk’ he will be on the move in the near future.
