We’re not entirely sold on the Steven N’Zonzi to Arsenal rumours, mainly because they were started when it was claimed the midfielder travelled to London for transfer talks.

Given it then transpired that he didn’t, the claims seem to be based on nothing more than historical links and N’Zonzi likely leaving Sevilla.

Still, we’ve been wrong before and will be again, and the Spanish media won’t let N’Zonzi to Arsenal drop. Monday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo again credits Arsenal with interest in the Sevilla player, and states a ‘shareholders meeting’ will be held on Monday.

N’Zonzi’s future and any potential transfer will be discussed, and there’s every chance an asking price will be decided upon, and a plan of action put in place to sell the player.

The Frenchman is said to be eager to actually play, being ostracised from Sevilla’s squad right now, to give himself some chance of being included in Didier Deschamps’ World Cup squad.

Aaron Ramsey’s injury could come at a perfect for any Arsenal interest, and could even present it where there was none previously.
