La Liga club Sevilla have signed a youngster from Brighton & Hove Albion, report Estadio Deportivo.
The local Seville sport newspaper explain Luis García Martínez has signed for Sevilla on a two year contract, with an option for the Spanish club to extend the deal as early as December.
Luis Garcia will have a buyout clause of €1m and the 18 year old joins Sevilla after a few years spent in Brighton’s ranks.
From the Canary Islands, the youngster came through the system at Las Palmas, before deciding to make the move to Brighton & Hove Albion at 15 years of age.
The player’s agent has been in talks with Sevilla for a while, explain Estadio Deportivo, and that’s led to this move. There’s no mention of any fee, so either Brighton have released the player at the end of his contract or are happy to see him go regardless.
Luis Garcia will now be given the chance to work his way through Sevilla’s ranks. The forward is praised by Estadio Deportivo for his dribbling, vision, and shooting.
