Michy Batshuayi hasn’t scored a Premier League goal since October.

He got an FA Cup goal against Hull City in January, but didn’t even get off the bench when the Blues faced Liverpool last week in the competition.

With Olivier Giroud now back in Frank Lampard’s favour, Batshuayi’s situation is even worse, and whilst the Frenchman could leave when his contract expires in June, that may not make things any better for the Belgian.

Far from being a youngster looking for minutes here and there, Batshuayi is now 26 years of age and needs to kick on with his career. His contract expires in June 2021, and this summer Chelsea and the player will need to decide whether to renew or look for a transfer.

Claims from Belgium have stated a transfer is the likely plan, and that’s been picked up in Germany.

According to their own information, Fussball Transfers report ‘several’ Bundesliga clubs have ‘reached out’ to the Chelsea player about a summer move.

Having previously been on a relatively successful loan to Borussia Dortmund, it would appear the striker hasn’t been forgotten in Germany.
