Futbol Arena reports Galatasaray are moving closer to extending Henry Onyekuru’s stay in Turkey, with claims they are close to getting an agreement with Everton.

The Turkish website says Onyekuru has ‘set the fire’ after informing Everton he wants to stay in Istanbul for another season.

It’s also claimed the Nigerian winger is happy at Gala and has told Everton he wants to do better in the Champions League next season. Last the season Cim Bom didn’t make it out of the group stages but they have a chance to put this right after winning the Super Lig title.

Everton are reportedly ready to allow Onyekuru to stay at Galatasaray and another source, BİP Spor, says the Turkish champions have made a €1m loan offer to Everton.

The 21 year old scored 14 goals for Galatasaray last season helping his team to a domestic league and cup double.

He is under contract at Everton until June 2022.
