Earlier this month, we covered claims made in Denmark explaining West Ham United interest in Frederik Alves.

The defender, who represents Danish club Silkeborg IF, was pictured with his agent in London, and was reportedly in the English capital to undergo a medical with the Hammers.

On November 4th, Silkeborg confirmed the 20-year-old will change clubs in the winter market, but refused to reveal the details of his next club.

A day later, Silkeborg director Kent Madsen stressed the centre-back’s transfer was impacted by Brexit and they expect his exit in January to be a “formality”. This suggested a move to the Premier League is on the cards.

However, the transfer hasn’t been confirmed by West Ham.

Although there have been strong claims about West Ham being the Denmark U21 international’s next destination, there are other clubs interested in him.

According to Calciomercato, Torino ‘challenge’ the English club for Alves as the Serie A side ‘think’ of signing the Silkeborg player, so would be considering an attempt to snatch him from the London club’s clutches.

That’s about the only information the website provides about Torino’s interest in Alves.

It remains to be seen whether the Italian club can snatch Alves away from West Ham United.
