When he was signed by Milan from Liverpool, few expected Suso to end up being one of the key players in the Serie A side, but that’s exactly what he’s become.

Picking up two goals and six assists during the first seven league games, the Spaniard is one of the reasons why Gennaro Gattuso’s side have turned their form around recently, winning their last two games 4-1 and 3-1.

His form has allegedly attracted interest from other clubs around Europe, including Tottenham, which we’ve covered several times, but never Manchester City.

Despite this, Suso has somehow read that Pep Guardiola wanted him at the Etihad, and brought it up in an interview with Tuttosport on Friday.

He said, when asked if Milan was where he wanted to be or just a stepping stone: “To read that clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City want you is pleasing, but Milan are also a great team, You never know in the transfer window, but I’ve always said that I’m happy to be here.”

While we do miss some stories here and there, we like to think our archives are pretty thorough when it comes to what’s being said around Europe, and we can’t find anything involving both Manchester City and Suso.

Chelsea, yes. Tottenham, definitely. Pep Guardiola’s side? Nope.

Maybe he’s hinting? Or hoping? Or both?
