Cesc Fabregas seems to be no closer to returning to Chelsea’s starting XI under Antonio Conte, and that has obviously led to rumours claiming he might be shipped out in the near future.
The Spaniard has been linked with a move to Italy, and the presence of AC Milan’s director of sport, Massimiliano Mirabelli, and CEO, Marco Fassone, at Stamford Bridge against Leicester City has led to more claims.
According to Italian website Premium Sport (via Tutto Mercato Web), Fabregas has been offered to AC Milan for a potential transfer deal in January.
However, AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella has rejected the opportunity, as Chelsea have asked for Alessio Romagnoli in return.
Premium Sport say AC Milan consider Romagnoli indispensable, and that is why they’ve decided to walk away from the offer.
We don’t expect these rumours to stop anytime soon, and there certainly will be more developments in the coming weeks.
