Another day brings more claims from the Spanish media about Michy Batshuayi and Valencia wanting to get rid of him during the January window.
Chelsea loaned the player to Los Che in the summer, and the deal was set to last the whole campaign, but Valencia see it differently.
Thursday’s edition of Marca says the Belgian has been ‘sentenced’ and the decision to get rid of him is made. The Spanish newspaper say that in mid November, a meeting was held and the outcome was to start steps to try and get rid of him.
Manager Marcelino hasn’t been convinced and Batshuayi’s future at the club ‘looks bad’. It’s also explained that his playing characteristics aren’t what Valencia were hoping for, which one would assume they should have worked out before doing the deal.
Chelsea have charged €3m for the loan, and Valencia are paying all of the player’s wages. The 25 year old has scored 2 goals this season, with his last La Liga strike coming against Celta Vigo in September.
But yet again, despite all these claims there’s nothing clear on how Chelsea see the situation and they’d surely have the deciding say.
