Former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder José Semedo is currently training at Vitória de Setúbal, newspaper A Bola reports.
The player saw his contract with Sheffield Wednesday expire this summer, and is keeping his physical form at the Portuguese club.
A Bola claim Semedo has a few offers from the table, from the Championship and the Spanish Second Division, and should be deciding his next club soon.
Joining Vitória de Setúbal on a free deal is not be a possibility, at least for now. The newspaper doesn’t say if the move is ruled out by the club or the player, but he’s likelier to leave Portugal once again to continue playing abroad.
Semedo joined Sheffield Wednesday on a free deal from Charlton Athletic in 2011, and spent six seasons at the club.
He made over 150 appearances for The Owls, but has been avoiding the club recently, he couldn’t even be contacted by his manager and teammates in order to sign an extension for the club.
Semedo’s future seems unclear, and the possibility of returning to Sheffield Wednesday isn’t even mentioned by A Bola.
