If you’ve followed us over the past few months, you’ll be aware that RMC Sport have been all over the story that Chelsea are interested in Layvin Kurzawa.
The first report of this came back in March, when the French outlet claimed the Blues had made an attempt to sign the Paris Saint-Germain defender during January’s transfer deadline day, only to be rebuked as the Ligue 1 champions couldn’t find a replacement in time.
After that, the same source stated €25m would be the starting point for negotiations, and Chelsea were once again thrown into the mix.
Then came Tuesday’s video from RMC Sport, with Mohamed Bouhafsi claiming the Blues were worried about losing Marcos Alonso, and, should he leave, had Kurzawa in mind to replace him.
Well, that’s all been confirmed (pretty much) by Paris United on their Twitter account, replying to one of their followers, explaining Chelsea are indeed interested, and did come knocking in January.
Whether you choose to believe them is up to you, but it’s hard to ignore how good they were during the summer transfer window.
