Just yesterday, we covered the news from Argentina that Alexis Mac Allister is not moving to Brighton & Hove Albion so soon.
Newspaper Olé claimed that despite the Seagulls’ attempt to take him to England in January, the loan deal with Boca Juniors should be honoured, leaving the player in Buenos Aires until next summer.
Now it seems that his contract details have been leaked, because TNT Sports brings a very similar story today, also revealing the detail which is stopping Brighton breaking the loan contract.
They say although it’s been rumoured the Premier League side could take him in January, the clause which would allow them to do so could only be triggered if Mac Allister played less than 50% of Boca’s matches, which is not the case.
TNT also adds that when the loan deal expires, Boca Juniors could try to extend his spell at La Bombonera, or perhaps buy ‘a percentage’ of his rights from Brighton.
