Robin Gosens has enjoyed a good season with Atalanta and has 10 goals and eight assists in all competitions.

The 26-year-old’s fine form and impressive stats have seen him catch attention of top clubs across the continent.

On Tuesday, FcInterNews explained Manchester City, Atlético Madrid, Inter Milan and Juventus are following the left-back who is valued at €40m by the Serie A side.

It was also explained the Germany international has cut ties with his agent and is now represented by his father.

The Citizens chasing the fullback is now backed up in Spain by today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo. The report’s main focus is on Atlético’s need to sign a new left-back in the next market.

Benfica’s Álex Grimaldo is named as one of the main targets and Gosens gets a mention at the end of the report. The German is considered as one of the options for Diego Simeone’s side.

It’s claimed Atlético are not the only club following the Atalanta star as Pep Guardiola’s side and Borussia Dortmund are also ‘interested’ in signing the player.

Gosens’ contract expires in 2022 and Mundo suggest the time left on his current deal could see Atalanta sell him for around €30m in the summer, in order to avoid losing him for nothing a year later.

The figure quoted by Mundo is €10m less than what was reported [€40m] by FcInterNews on Tuesday.
