It’s time for another Italian source to claim Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen has been offered to Napoli.

It was first journalist Alfredo Pedulla who brought the news earlier today, and now Calcio Mercato seems to have the same information.

They claim the 24-year-old is looking for a ‘new adventure’ to recover from his bad first half of the season, and that’s why he’s being offered around.

Napoli are currently considering the possibility, especially because there are several positions where the Dutchman can play.

A problem is that the transfer is now conditioned to another situation. Napoli are in talks to sign Matteo Politano from Sassuolo. So only if things go bad in these negotiations, then the club would look for other targets, which include Klaassen.

Despite that, and being at least slightly contradictory, Calciomerato say talks for Klaassen are ‘proceeding well’.

The Dutchman made only 13 appearances for Everton this season, with only four of them being in the Premier League. Despite being signed just last summer on a €27m deal from Ajax, he could be leaving Goodison Park already.
