Earlier today we covered a report which stated that West Bromwich Albion winger Oliver Burke could be on his way to Spain.
AS were claiming that Alavés were looking at the Scotland international and suggested that he was ‘one step away’ from joining the Spanish club.
They believed the move, which would see him heading to La Liga on a season-long loan deal, could be completed at some point today.
Mundo Deportivo cover the story and back up those claims, although they seem to think the deal isn’t quite as close as AS suggested.
They confirm Alavés are looking at the West Brom man, and he has been offered to them, although he is just one of several options they are considering as they look to add to their forward line this summer.
There is no suggestion a move is close to completion and certainly not that it could happen at some point today.
Nonetheless, it’s clear the interest is there and West Brom are happy to let him leave should someone come forward with the right offer.
