Another major Brazilian outlet has now reported Arsenal’s interest in the Bahia midfielder Ramires.

Following the first report from UOL, Globo Esporte now claims to have confirmed the information that the Gunners have been following the player lately.

The outlet says that both Arsenal and Atletico Madrid have watched Ramires’ recent performances, and made contact to know further information about the player.

Globo Esporte also managed to speak to Ueslei, known as Ueslei Pitbull, who’s a Bahia legend and Ramires’ agent.

He played down that the midfielder is the only target for Arsenal and Atletico, and suggested others will be being scouted too.

“Speculations. Not just Ramires. Like Ramires, same with other players,” Ueslei told Globo Esporte.

That’s more or less the same thing he said when contacted by Sport Witness on Wednesday.

In longer quotes, he explained to us that Bahia and Ramires don’t plan a transfer soon, even though he made it clear an offer from Arsenal would obviously be great for the player’s career.

This one is simmering in Brazil and it’s clearly not being fed by the player’s agent, given he’s taking such a level approach to things.
