According to Sdna.Gr, along with Panathinaikos, fellow Greek club AEK are also interested in Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons.

Yesterday, we covered reports from Greece that Pana are interested in signing the 23 year old on a loan deal, but today SDNA claim their rivals AEK are also in the picture.

AEK will be competing in the Europa League next season and are looking to strengthen their squad by signing Aarons.

However, Newcastle United are playing hardball with the two Greek giants and will only loan him if they agree to pay more than 50% of his yearly salary.

In addition, Newcastle are looking for a redemption clause between €6m and €7m if they decide to loan the player.

Sdna believe that under these conditions, both Greek clubs will find it very difficult to get Aarons, although things can change.

He still has two years on his current Newcastle United contract, but his future at the club looks bleak.
