Juventus will have scouts in attendance for Swansea’s clash with Morecambe in the FA Cup today to watch over Arsenal loanee Charlie Patino.
That’s according to Calciomercato.it, who back up claims from earlier today that Juventus have sent scouts to watch the midfielder in action.
Reports over the last month or so have linked Arsenal youngster Patino with a move to Juventus, who are on the hunt for a midfielder after losing Nicolo Fagioli and Paul Pogba to long-term bans.
The latest on that potential move came today when a report from Italy claimed Juventus had sent scouts to watch the Arsenal man in action as Swansea take on Morecambe in the FA Cup third round.
CM.it back that up, saying they have gained exclusive information that Juventus have a scout in Wales to ‘watch up close a profile’ that has been on the agenda for some time. That man is Charlie Patino.
They explain that director of football Cristian Giuntoli ‘likes the English playmaker’, who has also been scouted by AC Milan and Inter Milan.
They see him as a player who possesses ‘high technical quality’ and believe him to be one of the best talents produced by Arsenal’s academy in recent years.
They’ve been keeping track of his performances on loan at Swansea this season although a move could be difficult as Arsenal value him at €30m minimum and have not expressed any intention of letting him go at this point.
That’s a stance which could always change, of course, but Juventus are yet to test that and seem to just be admiring the youngster for now, sending scouts to Swansea this weekend to secure their latest report on him.
