The Italian media continues to sound quite confident about Divock Origi’s move to Milan this summer.
The striker’s contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season, and with the Reds not being able to trigger the extension which is tied by performance goals, he’s set to leave Anfield for free.
The latest claims on Milan’s chase are made on CMIT TV, where journalist Pepe Ferrario talked about the case. He claims that according to some whispers, the deal is already done.
“Colleagues confirm that this is a well underway operation. Some say it has even already materialised. Can he be useful? Yes he can. Anyone who arrives at Milan can improve the situation in attack. Ibra hasn’t been there since last year.”
Recent reports from Italy had been saying that Milan first offered the Liverpool player €3m per season, and had to raise the bid to €3.5m to shake hands with the Belgian player.
The striker only made 14 appearances for the Reds this season, and even got decent numbers with five goals and three assists.
However, the big competition in Liverpool’s attacking sector have stopped him from playing more, and the move to Serie A looks closer each day.
