Gabriel Magalhães picked up a hamstring injury in Arsenal’s league win over Fulham at the start of this month. He’s been sidelined since then and will miss the remainder of this season.

The Brazil international’s injury hasn’t stopped him attracting interest from other clubs.

That’s according to UOL, who state unnamed clubs from Europe and Saudi Arabia made approaches for the Arsenal player before he suffered the setback.

The centre-back has a contract until 2027. Despite this, the report states Arsenal want to avoid any risk of losing him in the summer window or in the near future.

Mikel Arteta’s side have the clear intention of offering a new deal to the 27-year-old in order to secure his long-term future. UOL explain they have already communicated the same to him and his camp.

In short, Arsenal want to offer a new contract to the former Lille man, also to fend off interested parties.

The report makes no mention of the details of the deal the Premier League club intend to offer or if Gabriel is open to accepting it.
