Now that Maurizio Sarri has finally been announced by Chelsea, the Italian media can be more certain about the signings he will bring to the club.

Website Calcio Mercato has a story saying that now the Blues’ attempt for the Juventus duo Gonzalo Higuain and Daniele Rugani could finally happen.

It’s claimed that contacts with the entourages of both players have been continuing without break, as both of them seem keen on moving to Stamford Bridge.

Now although it sounds like the clubs could find a double deal, Calcio Mercato makes it clear that the situations are different.

Higuain’s situation is simple if considering that ‘Chelsea want to buy, Juventus want to sell and he would like to meet Sarri again’. The problem is the Old Lady aren’t giving the Blues any discount, and Pipita isn’t exactly a cheap player.

Regarding Rugani, Juventus are waiting for Chelsea to move. The London side would offer over €40m for the defender, and he would be happy to make the move, partly because his salary would be doubled.

With clubs and players all agreed, it seems that the only thing left are the transfer fees now.
