Blackburn Rovers are likely to sign a goalkeeper before the end of the summer transfer window.
Reports in England have mentioned names such as Mark Travers and Balazs Toth, but there’s another name who could be a potential signing at Ewood Park.
FC Koln outlet Come On FC have reported on the situation of their club’s goalkeeper Marvin Schwabe, who is said to be a potential candidate to be a new goalkeeper for Blackburn Rovers.
The 29-year-old has opportunities from elsewhere, but the Blackburn option can become concrete.
Koln sporting director Christian Keller has publicly said the club would like to have two first class goalkeepers, but their current situation may not be sustainable.
Schwabe receives a pretty high salary and his exit would hand the German side a transfer fee, helping the German club financially by taking his wages off their books and providing a cash boost.
Keller has also mentioned about the possibility of Koln considering offers for Schwabe, giving hope to Rovers about their move.
