Last month, reports from Italy reported Chelsea had a desire to sign Federico Chiesa in the summer, but Juventus never considered selling their star.
It was also explained the Blues will ‘try a new assault’ in the coming months for the 23-year-old.
Manchester United are now dragged into the picture for the winger and their interest has been discussed by Ivan Reggiani, who often speaks to the Italian media and has previously been refferred to as an agent or intermediary.
The Italy international joined the Turin club on a two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy from Fiorentina in 2020.
In his debut season, Chiesa regularly operated on the wings, managing 15 goals and 11 assists across all competitions. He played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and the latter left Juve for Manchester United late in the summer.
“I think there are very serious and important foreign pressures on him. Appreciated across the Channel [in England], he is heavily supported by Cristiano Ronaldo,” Reggiani said.
“I think Federico can leave Juventus very soon. It can easily exceed one hundred million. There are not only United: there are 2-3 clubs that could reach €120-130m.”
It’s to be noted neither Ronaldo nor Chiesa are represented by Reggiani. The latter has not made clear whether this is his opinion or if he has been informed about the former Real Madrid star asking United to sign the Juve man.
