Porto’s Yacine Brahimi has been strongly linked with a move to Everton. Recently, English newspaper The Mirror claim Everton had a €30m bid rejected, whilst A Bola in Portugal reported the Toffees have already met Porto’s asking price of €40m.
According to a latest report on France Football, Everton are in advanced talks with Porto for Brahimi.
Ronald Koeman is keen on signing the Algerian international before the end of the transfer window, it’s his ‘one goal’. France Football say Brahimi has a release clause of €60m, but Everton are hoping to sign him for €30m.
Earlier, the Portuguese media reported Porto have only 50% of the player’s economic rights, so they’ll only get €15m if a deal is agreed for €30m.
Brahimi has spent two season at Porto, and has 22 goals and 20 assists to his name. The 26-year-old has another three years left on his contract. He’s not been training with the first team squad, as everyone involved wants a sale, so Everton may well have some leverage.
