Ronald Koeman has made his decision over Everton transfer, and isn’t budging

 

Ronald Koeman isn’t going to change his mind about Gerard Deulofeu, report Sport in their Monday edition.

The Catalan newspaper may well feel they have the inside line on this one, given the Everton manager has been speaking to the Barcelona press repeatedly in recent months, and they’re confident that Deulofeu has no Everton future.

Wherever the Spanish international ends up this summer, Sport believe a meaningful return to Goodison Park isn’t an option for the player as long as Koeman is manager. The Dutch coach hasn’t changed his mind since he agreed to let Deulofeu join AC Milan during the winter transfer window.

Due to that, Sport say Everton won’t be making any efforts to keep Deulofeu at the club.

They won’t try and persuade him he has a future there, and won’t be offering a tempting new contract to make Deulofeu snub a return to Barcelona or a move to any of the clubs expected to come forward.

That, at least for Sport, is very much that.
