On June 10th, De Telegraaf reported Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are in the picture to sign Feyenoord’s Lutsharel Geertruida. It was also stated he’s expected to leave the Eredivisie side in the summer window.

Foot Mercato backs up Tottenham and Liverpool’s interest in the defender when discussing Paris Saint-Germain’s desire to sign him.

The Ligue 1 winners have identified the 23-year-old as their main target after Luis Enrique requested his defence be improved this summer.

The Netherlands international can be used as a right-back, in the middle of defence or as a defensive midfielder.

PSG have made an offer to attract the player, but he isn’t expected to make a decision on his future until after the Euros.

Geertruida has a year left on his deal and that contract doesn’t include a clause. The report says PSG will need to to break the bank, especially because of the ‘tough competition’ from Tottenham and Liverpool.

It’s claimed Tottenham and Liverpool’s interest isn’t new and they have ‘recently returned to the charge’ to sign the versatile player.

PSG have made an offer to the Dutchman, and both Spurs and the Reds have to step up, if they wish to secure his services this summer.

The defender managed nine goals and five assists from 47 games last season.
