Besiktas and Fenerbahçe are interested in Manchester City’s Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure according to TakvimSpor.
Takvim say both teams may be challenging for the title this season but there’s another so-called ‘War’ between them as they both want to sign Toure on a free in the summer.
Yaya Toure recently returned to Manchester City team after the war of words between Dimitri Seluk and Pep Guardiola. Toure made his first appearance in two months against Crystal Palace and netted both goals in his side’s 2-1 City win at Selhurst Park.
yayaAccording to Takvim, Besiktas manager Senol Gunes has told his club’s board: ”He’s a great player. You simply can’t say no to these kind of footballers. We need players like him to play with quality, even if he’s 33 he can still be a very important part of my team next season.”
Fenerbahçe are also in for Toure with claims club officials met with his agent last week to discuss a possible move. Takvim claim the ‘pre-meeting’ went well and Fenerbahçe are ready to make a serious attempt in December to convince him to join Sarı-Kanaryalar.
Toure joined City seven years ago from Barcelona and has been an integral part of the team until Guardiola arrived in the summer. Toure has only made two appearances for the club in the Premier League this season, both of those coming the last 15 days.
