Fanatik have claimed Fenerbahçe have joined the race to sign West Ham’s Algerian midfielder Sofiane Feghouli.

The Turkish newspaper report Fenerbahçe have asked Feghouli’s agent whether he’s available for a move to the club, instead of to their local rivals Galatasaray.

Fenerbahçe were keen to sign Feghouli when he was playing for Valencia, but West Ham managed to get a deal done for the attacker ahead of the Turkish giants.

Fenerbahçe’s domestic rivals Galatasaray last week looked set to complete the signing of the West Ham winger, but the deal has still to be finalised.

Recent reports in Turkey suggest Galatasaray are set to sign the 27 year old for €4.5m, but the deal with West Ham is stalling for unknown reasons. It was claimed personal terms had been agreed with the player, and the transfer was imminent.

Feghouli is currently with West Ham at their preseason training camp in Austria as the Premier League side prepare for next season.
